Mould Treatment

TJR Ventilation takes great pride in the services we provide. We care about the welfare of our clients and offer various ways to monitor and improve their indoor air quality; as such we will only treat mould effected areas with COSHH certified Mould removing products.
Mould will not 'disappear' without the correct treatment, most household products including bleach will just 'mow' the mould surface and will in fact spread the spores further and encourage the mould to spread and return.
If mould is present during a survey we will the take measurements and offer a price to sterilise and redecorate the effected areas. This is chargeable on a £/m2 basis.
During treatment a mould sterilising solution is applied, this solution eliminates the live mould spores allowing the next stage to take place. The next stage and where agreed involves applying an anti-mould paint or an insulating paint to finish the surface and repair.

The anti-mould paint prevents live mould spores from settling on the walls therefore preventing its re-occurrence. In some instances insulating paint will be recommended as it will help increase the wall temperature which reduces the risk of condensation.

When this is combined with an adequate ventilation solution we are able to offer a free or inclusive 1 year guarantee against the return of the mould in the treated areas.
